Land & Buildings

Except for the completion of items on the punch list, the COMTEX plant is complete. Most of the energy over the past two weeks have been devoted to the fine tuning of the infra-structure systems including the boilers, steam regulators, water heating and reclamation system.

The pictures below set out the state of COMTEX as at January 30, 2004.

Equipment

Equipment systems are now fully installed and in the process of being commissioned. Although testing, fine tuning, and adjustments will continue over the next full month, the list below sets out the state of key operation equipment systems:

• Scales -- Operational
• Cart Dumper -- Operational
• Cart Washer -- Operational
• Soiled Classification System -- Operational
• CBW # 1 & # 2 -- Operational
• Washer Extractors/Dryers -- Not Operational
• Small (Pony) Washers/Dryers -- Operational
• Clean Side Rail System -- 66% Operational
• Feeder/Ironer/Folder Stacker Systems -- Operational
• Small Piece Folders (1-8) -- Operational
• Small Piece Roll Top Tables (1-14) -- Operational
• Take-Away Conveyors (1-2) -- Operational

Budgeting & Finance

Budgeting and finance systems continue to progress and at the present time historic data covering 2002 and 2003 is being entered in order to have data from the inception of COMTEX. It is anticipated that the General Ledger System including Accounts Payable will be handled in-house by the end of February.

Staffing

Staffing continues to ramp up to take on the start-up of customers. At the present time COMTEX employs 9 managers and supervisors, and 23 production staff. Staff receive approximately four (4) hours of orientation on payroll, policies, systems, and equipment and then commence their training on equipment.

Health Facility Start-Up Date

Due to the unexpected failure of systems at Doctors Hospital, COMTEX was requested to go live 24 hours earlier than anticipated. This enabled the first delivery of product to reach Doctors Hospital on Sunday, February 1st, requiring staff to work on the Sunday to prepare for Monday’s order. Thanks to the efforts of Ed Frilling, Production Manager at COMTEX and former OhioHealth employee at Victorian Village Health Center this was accomplished. Set out below are the newest revised start-up dates for facilities:

• Week of Feb. 8/04 -- Mount Carmel East,
• Friday, Feb. 20/04 -- Grant Medical Center,
• Monday, Feb. 29/04-- Mount Carmel West,
• Week of Mar. 14/04 -- Riverside Hospital.
• Week of Mar. 28/04 -- Marion General Hospital, Morrow County Hospital, Hardin Memorial Hospital and Galion Memorial Hospital.

Please raise these dates within your facility to ensure that everyone is prepared for a seamless start-up of Laundry Service from COMTEX.
